This park is definitely meant for ATVs, Dirt bikes and side by sides. It is pretty, thick woods, lots of wildlife. We even saw a small bear and a rabbit. Very long walk to the pond, we didn't make it. Cool old 1800s home sights to check out.
This is our "church". We go to one spot or another every Sunday and explore. Beautiful!
I hiked the Kilburn Loop Trail, total distance in and out is approximately 7 miles. I would consider this trail moderately difficult. It has been a while for me so it made it slightly more difficult. Be prepared with insect repellent and water. Its a pet friendly park and although the parking lit was full, I didnt see anyone while on the trail.
Always a great visit when I go here, no matter what I am doing. Whether on a small hike, long hike, bike ride, fishing, picnicking, or trail riding. Lots of space to do all kinds of things, and plenty of water. There are atvs, side by sides, offroad vehicles, bikers, and hikers all out on the trails. The main entrance points are in Chesterfield and Winchester. There is also an entry in Hinsdale. Have fun and be safe.
Beautiful park with lots of trails and lakes. Has something for everyone but you gotta find the right location. Some are really secluded and others are super popular.
I really love walks at Pisgah. The trails are marked and there are maps online. Diversity in the scenery with woods, water, meadows and some remnants of homesteads. There is hunting, so wear bright clothing or vests. I see lots of people walking dogs on leashes, too.
Lots of nice trails to stroll. Some of the road is a bit rough to drive through
Wonderful place to go offroad. The trails are easy for Adventure bikes. If you have a bike and never took it offroad this is the place to start. I have experience offroad but it was still fun to ride.
